Cardinal Newman is an 11-19 comprehensive school serving the Roman Catholic community in Luton and Dunstable. The school has Specialist Science Status and was described by Ofsted in March 2011 as:

Deputy Head (Required for September 2012)


The Governors wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the post of Deputy Head from 1st September 2012, following the appointment of the present post-holder as Headmaster of the College from September 2012. We are seeking someone who will undertake the day-to-day running of the College smoothly and with imagination, as well as being an excellent communicator with pupils, staff and parents.

St John’s Hospital is responsible for the management of the extra- parochial Chapel of St Mary Magdalen, which is situated in Holloway, Bath. We are seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual and pastoral support to the Chapel’s congregation, to conduct weekly services of Divine Worship (to include Holy Communion) and perform other services in accordance with the rites and practices of the Church of England.


The Chaplain will also be required to conduct occasional services at two other Chapels both situated within St John’s Hospital, Bath. The Chaplain, being in the employ of St John’s Hospital, will work and liaise with the Trustees and staff, in particular the Chief Executive 


Applicants must be established in Holy Orders. The Chaplaincy is a part-time role of one day per week and attracts a salary of £5,314 per annum, plus a housing allowance of £1,371 per annum.  sick pay, health care and pension packages.
