Other Essential Information TRAVEL
All holidays in the UK are self drive. For holidays in France, we offer the following options:
Self drive
PGL can book ferries on your behalf (subject to availability). Dover to Calais, approx. 90 minutes with Sea France, or Portsmouth to Caen, approx. 5 ½ hours (daytime crossing) with Brittany Ferries. If you require an overnight crossing or cabin please ask us for a quote when you book. Payment for ferry crossings must be made in full at the time you make the ferry reservation.
By air/Eurostar
For guests at the Château de Grande Romaine travelling to Paris by air or Eurostar, we are able to make arrangements for transfers from the airport or Eurostar terminal. For other centres the nearest airport is indicated and we recommend that you make arrangements for a hire car as public transport is not viable.
By coach
If you would prefer not to drive, we offer coach travel to two of our French centres, Château de Grande Romaine and Château de Grande Tertre.
You will be accompanied by PGL representatives and departures are available from Manchester, Birmingham, London and Dover.
Travel is by day via Dover – Calais and all coaches have seatbelts and a toilet. If you choose this travel option, coach transport will be provided during your holiday for off-site activities and an excursion on your free day.

PAYMENT METHODS
• Credit/debit card: we accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or Mastercard debit.
Please note that due to the fee levied by card companies a 2.5% charge will be made on all credit card payment.
• Cheque: made payable to ‘PGL Travel Limited’.
DEPOSITS
Once we have checked availability we will take a non-refundable deposit paid by credit/debit card in order to secure your places.
Deposit due:
• £40 per family member for UK holidays of 3 nights or less
• £60 per family member for UK holidays of 4 nights or more
• £80 per family member for French holidays
Once a payment is received you will be sent a confirmation invoice detailing what has been booked including, insurance, any additional extras or special details. Please note that full payment for any ferry service is due at the time of booking your crossing. If anything is incorrect or you would like to make an addition to your booking please contact us straight away.
The full balance will be payable 12 weeks prior to departure. A reminder will be sent when this date is due.
Please note we reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £25 per person for changing arrangements previously agreed to, including travel changes.
