25 wind farm projects for vestas
OUR prOJecTs
WsP has worked on over twenty five wind farm projects with Vestas as part of an on-going Framework Agreement. WsP is one of Vestas’s preferred suppliers for Route survey Reports (RsR) providing guidance on routing for abnormal loads on wind farms throughout the UK and Ireland. These reports identify key points and issues on the chosen routes from the Port of Entry through to the site that may require remedial works to accommodate the proposed loads.
WsP also undertakes Transport Management Plans, working in conjunction with both Vestas’s project team and its approved haulage companies. Vestas requires assurance that all components will be transported direct to site in a consistent and safe manner.
In addition, WsP has recently been appointed to review and update Vestas’s Transport guidelines for developers.
eBrD and eDp renovavies in romania
EDP Renovavies is considering obtaining financing from EBRD and IFC among others, for the development of two adjoining wind farms, Pestera (90MW) and Cernavoda (138MW) in Romania. WsP is providing environmental and social due diligence
and gap analysis for the project in terms of meeting relevant EBRD Performance Requirements and IFC Performance standards. We are also developing an EsIA disclosure package, inclusive of cumulative impact assessments and non-technical summary to meet EBRD’s Environmental and social Policy and Public Information Policy for A category projects and developing a stakeholder Engagement Plan.
Your energy transport support
WsP has worked on a number of wind farm projects with Your Energy and their sister company Wind Energy, part of the AEs group. Our work has included transport assessments, route survey reports, road condition surveys and abnormal load and construction traffic management plans.
Recent projects have included Drone hill wind farm in the scottish Borders where construction started early 2011, sixpenny Wood wind farm near goole and Yelvertoft wind farm. We have provided similar support for other projects in North Lanarkshire, Cumbria and the scottish Borders.
In addition, WsP acted as expert witness on behalf of Wind Energy at the Newfield Wind Farm Public Inquiry.
