LIVING and working in East London, DJmag have been following the career of Per QX, a Swede who until recently was resident in Dalston, for some time now. From throwing his infamous Gutterslut parties in a Hackney strip club, complete with poles, mirrored walls and busty barmaids (presumably the dancers on their night off), to guesting at nights like techno-electro-ghetto rave Trailer Trash, his energy behind the decks always translates into dancefl oor pandemonium. Last week heard Pete Tong play

his debut single for Strictly Rhythm, ‘U Can’t Hide’, a soaring piece of peak time vocal house featuring Andrea Love. A taster of his equal prowess in the studio (check Pioneer’s latest video for the DJM-250 to hear ‘Tromboner’, just signed to Southern Fried), we’ve no doubt that it’s a sign of great things to come. If you like your house high octane, you’ll also lap up his October selection which takes in everything from the punchy emo-tech of Pan- Pot to UAP’s ragga-jack.
