WCA agents: “In our industry, the issue of credit can be an administrative and financial burden, especially for the smaller independent forwarder.” “This agreement allows WCA
Family members to leverage the strength of the Etihad relationship with WCA Family to provide an air waybill facility on behalf of its members. “This means all WCA Family
agents will now have access to Etihad Crystal Cargo’s full booking facility.” Kinnear observed: “In simple
terms, if you are already trading with Etihad, it’s business as usual. “However, if you need access to

Emirates to add Dallas and Seattle
DUBAI-BASED EMIRATESAirline is to launch daily B777 operations to Dal- las/Fort Worth and Seattle-Tacoma International airports, which will both be served by non-stop flights from 2 February and 1 March respectively. The Seattle route will help to further strengthen the airline’s links with
Boeing. Already the largest operator of B777 aircraft in the world, Emirates last year ordered an additional 30 B777-300ERs, bringing its total B777 pas- senger fleet commitment to 132 aircraft. Emirates said the new Seattle service will help support key US exports
including software, sound and television equipment, aircraft parts, medical and surgical supplies, video games and foodstuffs, goods that are headed for markets including the UAE, China, Japan, India and Hong Kong. Commodities piped between Dallas and the UAE include oil and gas in-
dustry-related machinery, spares and high-tech equipment. A bellyhold ca- pacity of 15 tonnes on each flight will help support this trade. nEmirates is also to launch five times a week A330-200 services to the Zimbabwean capital of Harare, via Lusaka in Zambia, on 1 February. Repre- senting the addition of its 20th and 21st African destinations, a bellyhold capacity of 16 tonnes will be available on each flight.
