8 myUniHub User Guide How to access library resources


The My Library portlet provides quick and easy access to all of your library resources without the need for passwords.


1. Login to myUniHub


2. Go to the My Library portlet on the My Study page


• ‘Databases’, ‘EJournals’, ‘Newspapers’: if you want to locate an individual ejournal, newspaper or database.


• ‘Ebooks’: if you want to search our collections of ebooks.


• ‘ETheses’: if you want to request an electronic thesis from the British Library.


• ‘Previous exam papers’: if you want to search for old exam papers.


• ‘Middlesex University Research Repository’: if you want to search for research carried out by University staff.


• ‘Inter-library loans’: if you want to request an item from other Middlesex campuses or libraries outside the University.


• ‘Login to my Library Account’: to renew items, place requests and check books on loan. Use your student number and date of birth in the format ddmmyy.


3. Click on the name of the resource that you wish to access as follows:


• ‘Library catalogue’ and ‘Summon’: if you want to search all of our resources. Summon allows you to search individual journal articles which we hold electronically in full text.
