■ Indiana hospitals earn national honor Seventeen Indiana hospitals earned
2011 Outstanding Patient Experience Awards from HealthGrades, a national health ratings company. The distinction ranks them among the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide based on patient satisfaction data for nearly 3,800 hospitals. According to HealthGrades, 80
percent of patients treated at the nation’s best-performing hospitals definitely would recommend them, compared to 55 percent of patients who received care from the poorest- performing hospitals.
