Interesting FHigures Hometown Hockey Heroes
Adrianna Crovo
(Los Angeles, CA) was the sole U19 keeper in a four game series against Canada with the USA Junior National Team. Her exceptional performance in front of the cage earned her an invitation to Junior National Camp and selection onto the 2011 USA Junior National squad. Crovo will attend the University of Michigan.
Andrew Zayac
(Columbia, MD) was a member of the championship team at the 2011 California Cup. His performance earned him an opportunity to showcase his abilities on the USA Men’s National Team. In the spring, Andrew helped his hometown club, Spitfire, initiate a boys’ field hockey program.
Kathleen Sharkey
(Moosic, PA) was named to the USA Women’s National Team following her notable perform- ance at the 2011 Women’s National Championship. After scoring the game winning over- time goal, her team clinched the championship title and Sharkey was named leading scorer of the tournament. She holds the record for goals in game, as well as goals and points in a season at Princeton University.
Sally Mitchell
(Syracuse, NY) takes the values she developed as a field hockey student-athlete at Syracuse University and applies them to her job as a chemistry teacher at East Syracuse Minoa High School. She recently won the James Bryant Award in High School Chemistry teaching, given to the best high school chemistry teacher in the country.

25 Patrick Harris
(Moorpark, CA) has been a member of the USA Men’s National Team since 2000. Harris has played in over seventy-five international matches with the Men’s Team and was the leading goal scorer for the US at Champions Challenge II in Lille, France in July. He was also recognized as best player of the tournament.
Alyssa Chillano
(Phoenixville, PA) is a member of the 2011 U17 Junior National Team. Chillano earned the opportunity to travel, compete and represent USA in the Holland Domo Tournament in April. Chillano hopes to play for a Division I University and represent her country on the world’s greatest stage, the Olympic Games.
