BORN in Istanbul but now resident in Essen, the city he came to study in, Ahmet Sisman’s production have been described as combining Germany’s love of deep, tech sounds with the spirit of Sufi . Producing since 2007, his second record found its way onto Sven Väth’s ‘Sound of the Ninth Season’ and he hasn’t looked back since. After releasing on Galaktika’s ‘5 Years of Galaktika’ and Tiefschwarz’s ‘In the City’ earlier this year, he recently dropped his second EP


for Stock5, following last year’s ‘Hi Tech Booty’ EP, fi lling it with four tracks of dark, pulsing sub- fuelled house hovering around the 120bpm mark. Taking in New York’s MANIK, Cologne’s Motor City Drum Ensemble and Detroit’s The Oliverwho Factory, his chart is a suitably multi-cultural affair.
