Colleen Moore was an American silent movie star in the 1920’s. Alongside the big screen, dolls and miniatures were another of her passions and her eighth dollhouse was an 8-foot-tall “fairy castle” built with help from her former set designer, Horace Jackson and designed by Harold Grieve. It has been on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago since the early 1950s and is filled with glittering gems, amazingly detailed furniture, decorations and its own sized artwork.
