FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK

August in South Africa is Women’s Month. In this issue we focus on women in business, these articles are ‘must reads’ for both sexes.

Some of these women graduated in 2010 from CIDA City Campus and have just started their working careers. Others are continuing their learning. Some women are Managing Directors of multinational organisations such as T-Systems South Africa, and others are successful General Managers at Carling Black Label that have created new and exciting positioning for their brand. We also feature the journey of one of the directors at Symphonia, a woman who has stepped down from a CEO position so that she can focus all her energy on developing school principals.

We interact with visionary organisations and dedicated lecturers that create work- ready graduates. We share the concept of Neuroleadership and how it stimulates much needed creativity in business. We discuss how an internal programme is used as a tool to enable employees to live lives of purpose.

Some articles highlight extraordinary skills development programmes. Some of them offer advice to managers on how to improve their own efficacy. All of this and more!

We hope you find this issue as exciting to read as we found it to compile.

Regards, Amanda Domehl
