Transfinder Corporation will soon be adding to the local New York economy with a $4.2 million investment in renovating the company’s headquarters located in Schenectady. Antonio Civitella, founder, president and CEO of Transfinder, announced that the investment will also provide more high-tech jobs to the area. Te company purchased the building from Proctors GE and planned on starting the renovations this year.
NAPT and Zonar Systems recently
announced that they are once again partnering to provide a $50,000 grant to help a school district upgrade its school buses with fleet management technology. Te grant will include Zonar’s patented Electronic Vehicle Inspection Reporting (EVIR) system, as well as the company’s V2J High-Definition GPS system, V2J High- Definition GPS/vehicle diagnostics and the ZPass student ridership tracking system. Navistar recently donated both
vehicles and $50,000 to the rebuilding efforts in Alabama, which was hit with a barrage of devastating tornadoes this spring. Te vehicle, a step van valued at $20,000, was donated to HERO (the Hale Empowerment and Revitalization Organization, Inc.) in Hale County, Ala.
