Harrows Darts’ new catalogue includes a wealth of products for next season, alongside a consumer promotion to raise the brand’s profile nationally.
H
arrows Darts is launching a ‘wealth of innovative products’ in time for the new darts season, as well as a consumer promotion to raise the brand’s profile nationally.
The English manufacturer said it is ‘justly proud to see its products sold in over 100 countries globally’, adding that the latest generation of products will see it increase market share, both domestically and overseas.
Following the I.C.E. range of 90 per cent tungsten darts, which were launched in 2010, Harrows is introducing Black I.C.E., which it describes as ‘sleek and menacing’. The reverse cut, laser marked barrels are enhanced by a black titanium nitride vapour deposition process. As a measure of the high-tech properties of this super-tough finish, it is also
used in Formula One engine components, where its performance is pushed to extremes. Black I.C.E. darts have an SRP of £37.99.
Harrows said it has also had success with its Diva 85 per cent tungsten range. These ‘super-chic’ darts are targeted at the increasing numbers of female players who are taking up the sport, Harrows said. The entire make- up of the set is colour
coordinated around a pink theme.
They can be instantly identified by the precision laser marking of the barrels with Harrows and Diva logos. They have an SRP of £24.99. On the promotional front, Harrows has teamed up with Rileys Sports Bars nationwide, to support darts throughout 2011 and 2012. Rileys is organising a series of four tournaments annually across its portfolio of Dart Zones. With a total prize fund of £40,000, this is the largest cash payout for amateur players in the history of the game, Harrow said.
Each Dart Zone has a minimum of six custom- built dart lanes. Every Dart Zone is kitted out with Harrows high-tech, no-bounce out Matchplay bristle boards and branded surrounds. At the finals of the first tournament, the Harrows Darts UK Doubles, the company said players were ‘ecstatic’ about the performance of the boards, giving them ten out of ten for playability, clarity and dart retention. The boards have an SRP of £32.99.
Harrows will shortly launch a 64-page catalogue which will feature all these products, as well as the world’s first Dimplex shafts featuring in-built turbulators.
