HAVING previously released for Holland’s masters of old school analogue jack, Clone Records, Berlin-based Murphy Jax (who works in civil service, instead of employment – one for 30-something Blur fans there) returns this week with a corker of a single for Tiga’s Turbo Records. With four original tracks laying up walls of melody over vintage drum sounds, remixes comes from the excellent Freak Seven,
Matt Walsh & Zhao (with our personal favourite), and Populette. His chart traces a similarly future retro taste with Myriadd and Chicago Shags representing the acerbic Chicago obsessed Crème Organisation, Throne of Blood’s Bicep contributing the bleepy ‘Silk’ and some fantastic old school house filled with sinister chords, 808 claps and arpeggios from Dirt Crew, Alex Niggemann and Dance Disorder.
