MILKY WAY MORD FUSTANG PLASMAPOOL

INSTEAD of resting on their quite considerable laurels, Aston Harvey and Matt Cantor — aka the Freestylers — go from strength to strength. They’ve just released the massive ‘Frozen’ featuring Joshua Steele on vocals, and ‘Cracks’ towards the end of last year, that came with a dynamite Flux Pavilion remix, was another massive recent track across several scenes. The ‘Stylers now cross genres like they cross roads, fl itting between dubstep, electro- house, breakbeat and drum & bass with ease. They initially got together in the mid-90s

and had UK hits like ‘B-Boy Stance’ and ‘Don’t Stop’. The mid-noughties saw them again conquer the UK and Australian charts with ‘Push Up’, and they also teamed up with D&b crew Pendulum for massive dancefl oor smashes ‘fasten Your Seatbelts’ and then ‘Painkiller’ (featuring MC SirReal). They’ve sold over half a million records, won loads of awards and were the fi rst electronic act to play fully live on BBC TV programme Top Of The Pops. Still rocking it every weekend – here’s what’s rocking the Freestylers’ world at the moment.
