This Chicago Museum Saves 1.1 Million

Gallons of Water Each Year with greywater and Sloan water-efficient plumbing systems

Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry displays some of mankind’s greatest inventions — and now it also showcases the latest in Sloan water-efficient plumbing systems. Replacing older fixtures with Waterfree Urinals, sensor-activated faucets and low-consumption toilets — some of which flush with greywater collected from the sinks — collectively saves the museum about 1.1 million gallons of water every year.

Plus, the museum reduces water waste and inefficiencies with Sloan Monitored Systems, an automated system that oversees restroom water usage and immediately issues alerts about maintenance problems.

The Museum of Science and Industry has made breakthrough improvements in water efficiency, and so can you. Read the rest of the museum’s story at www.sloanvalve.com/museum.
