You will notice that we have retained many of the old features, including study tips, university news, education news and ABE news, but we have introduced a new section called ‘My ABE’. This section replaces the previous ‘Viewpoint’ section and gives students a chance to tell their story through a set of interview questions. If you would like to share your experiences of studying an ABE qualification, please contact me at:

In order to bring you expert opinion from the professional world, the special feature section will contain advice and guidance from an individual or organisation who is a specialist in a particular field. For example, in this issue we have an article entitled “Presentation Skills Survival Guide” from Jennifer MacKay at Jump Training. We end the new format with a ‘Final thought’ section which will provide a light- hearted finale to the new magazine.

We hope you enjoy your new Student Focus. Happy reading!
