ALEX METRIC and Steve Angello’s big room house track ‘Open Your Eyes’, featuring former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown, is getting battered and riding high on the BBC Radio playlist. It looks set to become one of the biggest dance hits of the year.


In a bit of a coup, the guys have recruited actor/ comedian Peter Serafinowicz to direct and star in the video. Serafinowicz plays a Stallone-style boxer in the video who – after some Rocky-style preparation - takes on a boxing champ robot. Does the mechanical beast win? Have a look (above)...

NOTHING TO DO WITH SL2 of ‘On A Ragga Tip’ fame, SLG is Polish producer Lukasz Seliga who seems to have abbreviated his surname in text-speak to come up with his nom de plume. Hailing from Lodz, he specialises in micro-house and does a lot of shows playing live, improvising as he goes along.


He’s released on Trenton Records and Level Records from Dusseldorf, and with his star in the ascendant DJ Weekly just had to sign him up for a podcast.
