Symptoms of Incontinence
The following are telltale signs of stress incontinence:
Leaking urine when you put pressure on the muscles around your bladder— especially when you cough, sneeze, laugh, lift something, bend over, stand up or do high-impact exercise like jogging or tennis
Leaking urine in either small or large amounts
Leaking more urine when your bladder is full
Track your symptoms over time by using a bladder diary (or voiding log):

The Other Incontinence
Urge incontinence is another type of incontinence. It affects how your entire bladder works—not just the muscles around it. If you have to urinate eight or more times in 24 hours, if you have sudden urges to urinate or if you keep leaking after a triggering movement (like a sneeze), you may have urge incontinence. Talk to your doctor if any of these symptoms sound familiar.
