TURKISH HOSPITALITY Polin hosts dealer convention

A photocall on the steps of the Royal Wings Hotel

Polin Waterparks and Pool Systems hosted a special event in Turkey recently for its customers and agents. The “dealer convention” at the Royal Wings Hotel in Antalya, where Polin installed a waterpark six years ago, was attended by over 150 guests. A welcome reception on January 20 provided a great networking opportunity for the attendees from different parts of the world and was followed by a seminar the following day.

Polin representatives examined some of the latest trends and innovations in the waterpark industry and there were also guest presentations from partners including Creek-Surfing, Kraftwerk, Adventure Golf and American Wave Machines. Awards were handed out to long-term clients and partners from 27 countries, and guests enjoyed “1001 Nights" themed Turkish gala dinner. The second day, Saturday, started with a visit to the construction site of Antalya’s Royal Palace waterpark,

where Polin is installing several RTM (shiny on both sides) waterslides, followed by a tour of the company’s Fipol manufacturing plant. After lunch, attendees had the chance for a sightseeing visit to the ancient Aspendos theatre, built in 155 by the Greek architect Zenon.

Turkish-flavoured entertainment at the gala dinner Polin goes Creek-Surfing

Polin Waterparks and Pool Systems is to act as distributor of the water-saving surf products offered by the Hungarian company Creek-Surfing. The Creek-Surfing product offers waterparks an attraction that can operate in all seasons, be can also be integrated into amusement parks or operated can as a standalone attraction. Water is pumped up to the top of the creek, and then fills the “micro terraces” from top to bottom, forming a shallow water surface for surfers to glide across, brake and change direction – just as they would when snowboarding.
