Diamond Brand’s Family Camp Out at Fletcher Community Park will be held Saturday, May 21. We’ve chosen a time that might still offer cool nights and cool mornings. Our camp outs have been so popular that we added a fall camp out this past year. Thanks to our friends from Kelty and Sierra Designs, tents are available for those families who don’t have them. Staff from Fletcher Park lead the kids in games while the parents chill out and watch the sun go down. One of the most popular activities— s’mores! Adults and kids alike toast marshmallows on the campfire and then add the chocolate and graham crackers. This age-old recipe continues to work its magic. Later in the evening when darkness has fallen, there is a night hike around the park. Kids and adults carry glo-sticks, as we walk single file on the trails along the creek listening to the music of peepers and bull- frogs and watching the firefly display. For more information on our Family Camp Out, contact Gary Eblen: geblen@diamondbrand.com.
