BIBIO ‘EXCUSES’ WARP


THE ONE MAN BAND is back but this time, rather than cymbals tied to knees and bass drum on back, he’s an electronic maverick - yes, we said maverick, probably with a PHD in particle physics – who has built his own bespoke studio kit with all the enthusiasm of a kid with a new Meccano set (nope, we can’t think of


the modern equivalent either). Bibio is the latest kid on the block and even though he only has a BTEC in woodwork (alright, we don’t have a bio so we made that up), ‘Excuses’, out 28th February, is still a belter boding well for his album ‘Mind Bokeh’ due on the 4th April.

Previously (and currently still) also resident at East End rave box Trailer Trash, her loyal following of club kids, bass addicts and trannies is as mixed as her mongrel sound which mashes up acid house, German techno, breaks


and other gritty sounds designed to get your arse on the fl oor.
