Admiral Roughead became the 29th Chief of Naval Op- erations 29 Sep 2007. As a fl ag offi cer, he commanded Cruiser Destroyer Group 2, the George Washington Battle Group; and US 2nd Fleet/NATO Striking Fleet Atlantic and Naval Forces North Fleet East. Admiral Roughead is one of only two offi cers to have commanded the fl eets in the


Pacifi c and Atlantic, commanding the US Pacifi c Fleet and Joint Task Force 519, as well as US Fleet Forces Command, where he was responsible for ensuring Navy forces were trained, ready, equipped and prepared to oper- ate around the world. As Chief of Naval Operations, he also serves as a member of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. Join us for a fascinating event.
