A LEGEND IN OMAHA: Nebraska-Omaha coach Mike Denney has set the example in Division II, coaching the top-ranked Mavericks to six national team titles and having more than 40 wrestlers earn Academic All-American honors.


KRISTIE STILL GOING STRONG: Two-time World champion Kristie Davis made her 10th U.S. World Team in 2010 and she’s setting her sights on making the American Olympic Team in women’s freestyle wrestling in 2012.


C.P. SCHLATTER JUGGLES WRESTLING, NURSING: Past Minnesota All- American C.P. Schlatter is working his way up the U.S. ladder in Greco-Roman wrestling. He also works full-time as a registered nurse in the Twin Cities.


BIG TITLE FOR BIG RED: Top-ranked Cornell was missing two All-Americans from its lineup, but the Big Red still came through to win its first NWCA National Duals title. Cornell downed surprise finalist Virginia Tech to win the title.


METCALF READY TO ROLL: Two-time NCAA champion Brent Metcalf is looking to bounce back after falling in the first round of the World Championships. Metcalf is ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in freestyle at 66 kg.
