• The front and rear spaceframe corner castings provide attachment points for the upper and lower suspension control arms, shock absorbers, body panels and other hardware and carry the resultant transmitted loads, secure the front and rear bumper assemblies, and enhance durability to survive the force of impact through crush rails.
• The single casting replaced what would have been an assembly of 10-15 separate stampings or extrusions, which resulted in signifi cant cost savings.
