nounced it joined forces with management and another private equity fund to acquire Aarrowcast Inc., Shawano, Wis., in July of 2010. Aarrowcast makes large gray, ductile and austempered ductile iron castings for customers in end- markets including agriculture, military, off-highway trucking, construction and energy.
Rolls Royce Naval Marine Foundry Pascagoula, Miss., has
added a 50-ton capacity ladle in order to cast individual pro- pellers in nickel-aluminium bronze. The ladle was produced by Acetarc Engineering, Keighley, U.K.
Investment caster Alcumet Inc., Londonderry, N.H., an-
nounced it has overhauled its approach to quality control, taking advantage of fluorescent penetration and x-ray pro- cesses in addition to its spectrometer.
