Patriots (13-2): They’ve won seven straight and clinched the top seed in the AFC playoffs, and QB Tom Brady is playing almost flawlessly.

Falcons (12-2): Go for their ninth straight win when they host Saints Monday night.

Steelers (11-4): At 6-1 on the road, they’re a top threat in the AFC playoffs even without the No. 1 seed.

Ravens (11-4): The balance of their offense gives them a chance against anyone in the postseason.

Eagles (10-4): Playing Tuesday night means they’ll have a quick turnaround for the regular season finale.

Bears (11-4): Beat the Jets at Soldier Field on Sunday but actually have been better on the road.

Saints (10-4): A road triumph Monday over the Falcons could be significant heading into the playoffs, since NFC’s road to Super Bowl goes through Atlanta.

Jets (10-5): Clinched playoff spot, but haven’t looked very sturdy of late, with three losses in four games and a seemingly ceaseless string of controversies.

Chiefs (10-5): Those waiting for them to fall apart have had to keep waiting.

Packers (9-6): Kept the Giants’ downward spiral going.

BUCCANEERS38, SEAHAWKS15

Josh Freeman kept Tampa Bay’s

playoff hopes alive with a nearly flaw- less performance. The second-year pro threw for 237

yards and a career-best five touch- downs, helpingtheBuccaneers stay in the hunt with a rout of struggling Seattle. Kellen Winslow and rookie Mike

Williams each had a pair of touch- down receptions for the Bucs, who guaranteed themselves a winning re- cord after going 3-13 a year ago in their first season under Coach Ra- heem Morris. The Seahawks played most of the

game without injured QB Matt Hassel- beck and lost for the seventh time in nine games. Amazingly, the Seahawks can still

win the NFC West — thus earning a playoff spot with a losing record — by beating the first-place St. Louis Rams (7-8) at home next Sunday. The Bucs remain in contention with

the Saints,Giants and Packers for two NFC wild-card berths. They close the regular season at New Orleans, and will need to defeat the defending Super Bowl champions as well as get outside help to grab a postseason spot. Freemancompleted 21 of 26 passes

with no interceptions. His five TD passes — giving him 23 with just six interceptions this season — tied a franchise record set by Steve DeBerg in 1987 and matched by Brad Johnson in 2002.

COLTS31, RAIDERS26

Peyton Manning made sure India-

napolis came out ahead in a game it turned out it didn’t need to win to stay in control of the AFC South race. Manning threw three touchdown

passes and iced the game with a 27-yard keeper against Oakland in a game that turned out to have little playoff meaning. The Colts gave up a touchdown on

the opening kickoff, on a return by JacobyFord, but recoveredandmoved within a win of clinching the AFCSouth title for their ninth straight playoff berth. When Jacksonville lost in overtime to

Washington, the Colts knew that no matter what happened in this game they could clinch the division with a win at home next week against the Titans or a Jaguars loss at Houston. The results in the early games also

robbed this game of any real meaning for the Raiders, who were eliminated from playoff contention when Kansas City wrapped up a 34-14 win against Tennessee. The Raiders hung close but did not

score an offensive touchdown until 1:51 remained. Overall, little came easy for Manning against Oakland’s defense.Hethrewa pair of interceptions in the second half, giving him 17 for the season, his most since 2002. Ford has three kickoff returns for touchdowns, including two to start games.

INJURYREPORT Whitehurst replaces Hasselbeck for Seattle

Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck left the game against the Buccaneers with a hip injury. Hasselbeck was hurt on a one-yard touchdown run on which he rolled out of the pocket to his right and ran into the end zone untouched with 2 minutes 50 seconds left in the opening quarter. He bent over for a moment, started to walk off the field and then stopped again before sitting down in the end zone. Hasselbeck eventually walked to the sideline under his own power. CharlieWhitehurst replaced him on Seattle’s next possession. . . . Broncos CB Champ Bailey left the game against the Texans with a right ankle injury. The perennial Pro Bowler threw down his helmet shortly after a collision with TE Owen Daniels midway through the third quarter and hobbled to the sideline. Rookie Perrish Cox replaced him . . . Chargers RB Mike Tolbert gave a thumbs-up sign as he was wheeled off the field following a hard hit against the Bengals. Tolbert was being tested for a neck injury, but he could move his arms and legs. Tolbert took a handoff, put his head down and ran into S Reggie Nelson’s chest in the first quarter. He lost the ball—Cincinnati recovered the fumble—and remained face- down on the field, motionless, when the play ended. . . . BillsWRDavid Nelson hurt his ribs in the first half and has been ruled out for Buffalo’s finale at the Jets next weekend . . . 49ers C David Baas injured his left ribcage in the first quarter but returned late in the second quarter. Backup CB Phillip Adams broke his left ankle blocking on the kickoff to open the second half and was carted off.
