Recycling party at Punk
With Rob da Bank, Man Like Me and more European
You’d think the world of dance would know all there is to know about recycling, what with the number of classics that get wheeled out each year for another new up-to-date remix. Apparently though 75% of small electricals and batteries, which can be recycled for free, are still thrown away.
That’s why European Recycling Platform threw a ‘Recycling Party’ at Punk, Soho, on the 10th November. With free entry if you brought along an old toaster, iron or vintage 303, green minded revelers got to get down to Man Like Me and James
Yuill live performances and DJs Rob da Bank and Jackmaster on the wheels of steel.
Christmas is a time when most of us get new gadgets and apparently every shop that sells batteries is legally required to collect them for recycling if they sell over one pack of AA batteries a day. All local authorities will also recycle WEEE - that’s waste electrical and electronic equipment to you and me - for free so get involved.
