Madawaska River Upper Section The Upper Madawaska is 27 km of challenging whitewater running east of Algonquin Park from the bridge in down- town Whitney to just short of the village of Madawaska. This spring run can be done in one long day usually from May to early June. Dozens of rapids ranging from Class II–V.

Sizzling Spring Runs

Indian River With the exception of the beautiful Indian River Falls, the Indian River has no challenging rapids or portages making it a wonderful route for families and casual adventurers, pad- dling canoes and recreational kayaks. Multiple access points allow you to plan a trip for a couple hours or all day. The Indian winds through rural Ottawa Valley countryside with beautiful deciduous bush hidden from development above.
