• A large 12-by-17-inch (30.5 by 43.2 cm) infeed opening helps boost productivity by decreasing the amount of trim cuts needed prior to processing.
• The Vermeer SmartFeed system monitors engine rpm and automatically stops or reverses the rollers when feeding larger, hardwood material, reducing the need to manually manipulate the control bar.
• The bottom-feed stop bar is strategically located to make it possible for the operator to strike the bar and shut off the feed either intentionally or automatically in an emergency situation. A reset button on each side of the infeed housing allows for easy system reset if the bar is tripped.
• A clutchless PTO system allows the cutter to be engaged without using a traditional slip clutch or idler pulley and without sliding the engine. It’s an easy-to-maintain system.
Plenty of other standard features — including an all-steel hood, 25-gallon (94.6 L) fuel tank, a rubber-torsion suspension for smooth towing, a control panel located in the rear of the unit for easier operator access — make the BC1000XL the brush chipper of choice for many applications.
