AND DETERMINED Dear fellow students and Mrs. Tightypants; this year for my summer vacation I went to Hell. It was fun. Mostly. There were scary bugs, towering, unassailable gorges of rock, cocaine bandits hiding in the jungle and, nastiest of all, the river that took us there—the last un-run major tributary of the Amazon, El Rio Huallaga.
