Mimic Creator & fischertechnik Mimics 2D Mimic Creator
Create your own mimics! Creating mimics enables pupils to achieve high ICT skill levels, as it requires design skills, graphic manipulation and transfer of files between several applications.
1. Take a digital photo, or a scanned drawing, or a computer-generated image.
2. Use graphics manipulation software, such as, Paint Shop Pro, to create the hotspots.
3. Use Mimic Creator to position and define the functions. Mimic Creator enables users to create a mimic that is related to:
• their locality • an industrial project • a festival
• a Design & Technology project Control
Mimic Creator includes 2 example bitmaps, Automatic Door Light and Lift with full instructions to turn these into mimics. Once created, any mimic can be turned into mimics for Mac versions of Flowol.
