Get to know... Devotia Moore Hometown: Queens, N.Y.

High School: Townsend Harris

What do you watch on TV? Well I am usually doing homework or sleeping or something, but my favorite TV show hands down has to be Family Guy.

What do you have on your iPod before a meet? I think I stopped updating my iPod when I graduated high school, but my brother is a DJ, so every time I go home, I have him put music on for me. Whatever the latest stuff is he helps me out with, so I’ve got hip hop, R&B, and pop, mainstream country. I don’t like really, really old school country I guess, I don’t know.

What is on your bucket list? I need to learn how to swim before I graduate; that’s definitely on there. I’d definitely like to travel the world. I am an international comparative studies major so I am very interested in seeing all the cultures and things like that, so those are a couple.

What is your favorite video game? Growing up my brother always played car games, and I’m so bad at them, but I’d have to say Crash Bandicoot or maybe Mario Kart, stuff like that. The Wii is pretty cool.

What is your favorite home cooked meal? My mom’s Ziti, she puts cheese and beef, and I just love it, but I don’t know what is all in there, but it’s good.

What has been your toughest class at Duke? It would have to be Chemistry 21 freshman year second semes- ter, goodness I don’t know how I survived it, but I definitely got rid of being pre-med after that.

What would your dream job be? When I first got here, it was to be a physical therapist and then after I shadowed a doctor I decided against it. I actually just came from being abroad, and I got to meet people from the world health organization, the international labor organization, the United Nations so that stuff really interests me and I’m not really sure what I expect. But I don’t see myself being in America for long.

Who has had the most impact on your life and why? Definitely my mom. I grew up in a single parent home and she’s just been my world and been there for me every step of the way, so I can’t thank her enough for everything.

Who would you trade places for a day with and why? Either an astronaut or Richard Branson, they seem to live pretty awesome lives and who wouldn’t want to see the earth from space, right?
