DuPont State Forest

The 10,000-acre DuPont State Forest was the location for Diamond Brand’s Fall 2010 catalog photo shoot. Named for the company that built the plant, which was active from the late ‘50s until the early ‘90s, this state forest offers a variety of trails with everything from waterfalls to breathtaking views. Activities in the park include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing.

Stone Mountain has some of the best views in the

entire forest, if you like winter hiking. Lying along the fringes of the park in its northeast corner, Stone Mountain is the park’s highest point at 3,600 feet.

Another great location for scenic vistas year round is the Big Rock Trail in the southwest corner of the park. This trail climbs to approximately 3,000 feet to offer views of the surrounding area. Along with the views the park offers, there are

a number of awe-inspiring waterfalls. Triple Falls and High Falls are two of the forest’s most popular destinations. With vertical drops of 120 and 150 feet respectively, they are truly breathtaking.
