USINESS AND PLEASURE was the operative phrase as thousands of Church of God members made their way to Orlando, Florida,
during the last week of July.
For the first time, the International General Assembly was held in Orlando, a city known around the globe as a place where families find fun at a dozen theme parks. Delegates to the 73rd General Assembly, or GA2010, were treated to Southern hospitality and experienced sunny weather during the event, and many opted to enjoy the area attractions during their stay.
Schedule Tweaked
GA2010 was different in many ways. The schedule was shortened from years past, with the General Council begin-

ning business on Tuesday morning and holding three sessions that day. In recent Assemblies, a Monday-evening worship service took place preceding the start of General Council business on Tuesday.
In another change, the traditional Saturday-morning commissioning of the general overseer took place during the Fri- day afternoon General Assembly session, immediately following the confirmation of the nominations from earlier in the week.
Leaders Reelected
Delegates to GA2010 reelected the same set of church leaders as in 2008. All were eligible to serve a second two- year term and all were elected to the same offices. The Executive Committee of the Church of God for 2010-2012 is Raymond F. Culpepper, general overseer; Timothy M. Hill, first assistant general overseer; Mark L. Williams, second assis- tant; David M. Griffis, third assistant; and Wallace J. Sibley, secretary general. Also elected to the same posts were Thomas Madden and Gary Lewis to lead
