Global campaign for adidas miCoach app A

didas has launched a global marketing campaign for its miCoach mobile app. Central to the campaign, which introduces the adidas promise to “personally coach you to a Faster You” is a star-studded 60- second film featuring a number of sporting icons including David Villa, Andy Murray, Jonnie Wilkinson, Reggie Bush, Derrick Rose, Victoria Pendleton and Jessica Ennis. A muli-sports celebration of pre-season training and running, the campaign will roll out globally covering TV, print, point of sale, PR and social and digital media. The miCoach mobile app has different training plans to suit a range of sports, including running, basketball, football, tennis and American Football. Operating on GPS coordinates from the phone to track the run, it coaches in real time during the training session. Said to be the first app to offer sport-

specific workout plans, features include instant workout feedback with graphs and maps, ability to monitor, manage and analyse progress over time, while built-in GPS activates coaching over speed ranges. “MiCoach is coaching made simple, and we are proud to launch the miCoach app to enable all athletes to be faster for their sport,” commented Eric Liedtke, adidas senior vice president, global brand marketing. www.adidas.com
