Launch Pad New compression level

Taking its compression technology one step further, Skins has introduced a premium range using a ‘revolutionary’ measurement technique

D

esigned for multi-sport activity, Skins’ A400 collection has been created with the help of laser body-mapping and motion capture to take 800,000 individual measurements and assess 400 key body-fitting points on hundreds of athletes. This ‘state of the art, multi-sensor measuring device’ allows for compression to be calculated accurately on athletes in motion, not just when static, the company says.

Featuring new Memory MX stretch

panels, Skins promises that the result is a range that offers higher levels of precision and an enhanced fit. The memory panels are designed to cover key muscle groups to give complete flexibility and lateral rotation without restriction. After every movement the panels return to their original shape, therefore retaining the dynamics needed for the next physical movement taken.

The A400 range covers 12 garments, including tights, short and long- sleeved tops, racer back tops for women, calf tights and arm sleeves. They all incorporate Skins’ ‘dynamic gradient compression’ to help provide precise levels of pressure in the right places for muscle support and accelerate blood flow to aid oxygen delivery to active muscles, to aid performance, greater endurance and faster recovery. The garments also feature the company’s wicking properties as well as being treated with an anti-microbial wash to help prevent odour and sun safety 50+ UV protection.

The long tights are available in 12 fits and two new women’s body shapes – ‘A’ with a small waist in relation to the hip and thigh, and ‘H’, which has little variation in shape from waist to the hip and thigh.
