T BAR, a mainstay of Shoreditch club- bing till moving to Houndsditch last year, has announced it is closing. With a free door policy, T BAR’s origi- nal home in the Tea Building on the corner of Shoreditch High Street and Bethnal Green Road made it an East London favourite where you could catch everyone from Michael Mayer to Andrew Weatherall. After moving, it continued to attract high profile guest such as Claude Von Stroke and Marshall Jef- ferson, while introducing a door charge.
