WASTE & RECYCLING ASTE & RECYCLING Bear Proof Trash Receptacle —

When a bear gets into your trash you’ve got a BIG mess and a BIG problem.

This bear proof trash receptacle is designed … and tested … to keep bears out. The contemporary round design offers sleek exterior sides. The hatch and door fi t fl ush and tight. The bear has no place to get a grip. Other un-bear-able features include:

• Construction: All heavy 14 ga. steel fabrication. Round shape provides structural strength. Brown textured powder coat paint fi nish is standard. Other colors available. Ships to you fully assembled. Receptacle sits off the ground for extended service life.

• Standard Equipment: Includes 36-gallon heavy-duty rigid plastic liner. Plus a tilt-out

frame on which you can hang plastic garbage bags if you prefer (bags not included). Four-point surface anchor base with (4) 1/2" x 5" concrete screw anchor bolts included (#ANC5-4).

• Front Access Door: The front door design provides easier access to the liner inside. A front door provides you with more installation location options. The door release is inside the receptacle and accessible when the hatch is open. Two latch points keep the door tightly closed.

• Large Hatch Opening: 16-inch diameter hinged hatch opens up for easy depositing of trash. A custom made extra wide hinge keeps round lid from twisting. The hatch edge is vinyl trimmed for safety and provides more weather tight seal.

• Hatch Trigger: The spring loaded trigger release for hatch is covered to limit access to human fi ngers only.

• Optional: Textured powder coat fi nish is available in brown, green, or black colors.

Tested by the Living With Wildlife Foundation (LWWF) and the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center (GWDC) using the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) protocol.

• Optional: (Below) A pair of outriggers bolt to the receptacle to give it a broad, stable stance on top of the ground. Use the outriggers for areas where you can’t bolt the receptacle to a concrete surface.
