SOUTHERN IRELAND
Kilmore Quay, our nearest landfall lies inside the Saltee Islands. Being on the South eastern corner of Ireland, we have often seen Pilot or Minky whales on their migratory route north. Thatched roofed cottages are dotted throughout the village. A group of seals occupy the harbour, waiting to be fed by the fishermen. Further west is Cork, the home of Irish yachting and Kinsale with its gastronomic delights. We also explore several delightful, quiet anchorages such as Ballycotton, Oyster Haven and Castletownsend, giving a varied and exciting experience to remember for years to come.
THE ISLES OF SCILLY, PADSTOW AND LUNDY ISLAND
Lying west of Land’s End the Scilly Isles are a haven of tranquillity. Basking in a micro-climate caused by the gulf stream, the white sparkling sands and crystal clear waters create a paradise which is closer than you think! After the exhilarating overnight passage arrive amongst these wonderful islands and take time to explore ashore. The islands each have a different character and navigating between them provides an excellent chance to brush up your pilotage skills. After exploring the islands by sea and shore we make the return journey, stopping at Padstow or Lundy Island before returning to base. The town of Padstow is an ancient, busy fishing port with picturesque cottages nestling in the narrow streets leading down to the harbour and quays. Lundy is a peaceful nature reserve located off the North Devon coast, a stunning location for our last stop before home.
CHARTER
A personal, efficient service compliments our varied range of high quality, clean, well maintained, cruising yachts for skippered or bareboat charter. Neyland Yacht Haven is the perfect base to explore the sheltered Cleddau estuary, offering many moorings and anchorages. The outer reaches of the estuary is a great starting point for discovering the bird and nature reserves of our offshore islands Skomer, Skokholm, Grassholm, Ramsey & Caldey or the dramatic coastline of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Sandy beaches and small harbours offer great stop-overs and with the coastal path running the length of our coastline, there is always an opportunity to explore ashore. For longer charters there is the opportunity to cruise further afield and with excellent sailing grounds at all points of the compass, whatever the weather there will always be a suitable port of call. Favourite destinations are the South Coast of Ireland, Lundy, Padstow, the Isles of Scilly, Dublin and North Wales.
