The backbone of the business continues to be the Royal Yachting Association cruising school, which leads students from the Start Yachting weekend through to commercial Yachtmaster. Together with our Adventure cruises, skippered and bareboat charter we are well placed to offer our guidance and advice to those considering purchasing a yacht. Pembrokeshire offers an uncrowded spectacular coastline, together with a varied and testing tidal environment.

PEOPLE

Roland Bowen is the Director of Pembrokeshire Cruising and the principal instructor. Under Roland’s direction, a team of highly qualified skippers ensure a successful experience for all. Being a small company, you will always be dealing with people who care about you. Whatever your sailing needs, we promise a friendly, flexible solution.

EQUIPMENT

Our yachts are highly equipped and run to the strict requirements of RYA cruising schools and the Marine Coastguard Agency code of practice for sail training & charter vessels. As members of the British Marine Federation we also adhere to the BMF Code of Practice.

ENVIRONMENT

Pembrokeshire Cruising is located at Neyland Yacht Haven, on the shores of the spectacular Pembrokeshire National Park. The Cleddau estuary, a natural inlet with some 24 miles of navigable water, is rich in maritime history and offers guaranteed sailing in protected water. Beyond the estuary lie 168 miles of spectacular coastline – Britain’s only coastal national park – renowned for its wild, offshore islands, sea-bird and seal sanctuaries. Pembrokeshire stopovers include Tenby, Barafundle, Skomer Island, Little Haven, Solva, Ramsey Island & St Davids. Cruising destinations within easy reach include Lundy Island, Padstow, Scilly Isles and the South & East coasts of Ireland.
