RESO

‘Reso In Da Mix’

If the music is too loud then you’re too old, so the saying goes. Which explains the split in opinion between those who love grinding dubstep featuring mid-range wah-wah bass – young people in their teens and early twenties - and those who don’t because they’re curmudgeonly old musical ‘tastemakers’

whose closest experience of methadrone is reading about it in The Metro.

Through tracks like ‘If Ya Can’t Beat ‘Em’, Reso has already proved himself an extreme noise terrorist par excellence and here he gathers a like-minded crew of inner-ear-destroying compatriots including 16 Bit, Nero and Chromestar.

But scratch deeper and there’s also Synkro and Faib’s ‘Inhale’, which has shades of Burial, or the hyperkinetic future garage of Reso and I.D’s ‘Shifty’, providing something for those who like their music both ‘intelligent’ and ‘avin it.
