ORD ST., 4400 block, 1:05 a.m. July 4. Lee- Ante Melvon Brown, 19, of Washington was found with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. THIRD ST., 2000 block, 2:58 a.m. July 4. An unidentified male was found at a residence with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 50TH PL., 800 block, 9:15 p.m. July 4. Malik Kareem Logan, 23, of Washington was found on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

MORTON ST., 600 block, 12:15 a.m. July 5. Dewayne Coles, 20, of Washington was found on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 4800 block, July 4. Taylor McFadden, 25, of Washington was found in an apartment with gunshot wounds. McFad- den was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
SEXUAL ASSAULTS
14TH ST., 1900 block, 2:30 a.m. July 4. While a woman on a sidewalk was bending to tend to her shoe, a man bit her on the buttocks. The two argued, and the man bit her shoulder, knocked her to the ground and dragged her by the hair. The woman’s knees were bruised while she was being dragged. She took her shoe off and struck the man on the head, causing it to bleed. The man ran away, and the woman was taken by ambulance to a hospital. She was treated and released.
ROBBERIES
CHAMPLAIN ST., 2300 block, 3:20 a.m. July 5. A male asked a male pedestrian for change, then showed a handgun and took the pedestrian’s wallet. Another male robber took a purse from a female pedestrian. COLUMBIA RD., 1000 block, 3:50 a.m. July 5. Two men approached a pedestrian, and one de- manded money. They assaulted the pedestrian and fled. Nothing was reported taken. EMERSON ST., 700 block, 6 a.m. July 4. Two gunmen got out of a van and demanded proper- ty from three pedestrians. The pedestrians did not comply and ran. The gunmen fired, hitting one pedestrian’s foot. The gunmen left in the van.

A pedestrian noticed a group of males and crossed the street. One approached him from behind and assaulted him. Property was taken. GEORGIA AVE., 3500 block, 10:45 p.m. July 4. A man and a woman approached a male at an ATM and demanded money. The male robber placed his hand near his pocket to imply he was armed. The ATM customer ran to a nearby laun- dry business. Nothing was reported taken. GEORGIA AVE., 3700 block, noon to 12:13 p.m. July 5. Two males approached a female at a bus stop and snatched her purse. HST., 600 block, 3:25 to 3:30 p.m. July 7. A male tried to snatch a pedestrian’s cellphone. The pedestrian held on to the phone. An arrest was made.

The robbers fled. MST., 3200 block, 2 to 3:45 a.m. July 4. Three males assaulted a male pedestrian and took his passport and wallet, which contained foreign currency. ONTARIO RD., 2200 block, 2:50 a.m. July 4. A male pedestrian was attacked by a gunman, who took his wallet, cellphone and iPod. PST., 1700 block, 11:20 p.m. July 7. Two men followed a male pedestrian, and he fell while try- ing to run away. The men kicked him and de- manded money. The assailants fled. Nothing was reported taken. WST., 1300 block, 10:30 to 10:40 p.m. May 21. Two people approached a male pedestrian, and one showed a handgun and demanded a cellphone and cash. He complied, and they fled. 5. A man demanded cash from a female, and she refused. He assaulted her, snatched her cash and fled.

A male robber walked in front of a vehicle, forc- ing the male driver to stop. The robber broke a window and showed a handgun. He took a duffel bag from a seat and handed the property to a male accomplice. The robbers fled. 14TH ST., 5600 block, 10:15 p.m. July 4. A man assaulted a male pedestrian and tried to take his book bag. The robber fled. Nothing was reported taken.
15TH AND HARVARD STREETS, 5:30 to 5:35
a.m. July 4. Three males got out of a van and ap- proached a male pedestrian. One hit his head with a handgun and demanded property. He did not comply, and another male assaulted him and took property. The robbers fled in the van. 15TH ST., 300 block, 9:40 to 9:50 p.m. July 4. A man took property from a male’s pockets. 16TH ST., 3100 block, 3:10 a.m. July 5. Four males approached a male and demanded his cellphone. He refused, and they assaulted him and took the cellphone and cash. 20TH ST., 1600 block, 11:36 p.m. July 4. Four youths entered a bar area of a restaurant and stole property hanging from two chairs. Four youths were arrested.

6:55 p.m. April 23. A person snatched property from a female pedestrian’s hand and fled.

GEORGIA AVE., 7400 block, 11:05 p.m. July 3. Two men entered an apartment through an open back door and demanded CDs. An occupant fled after being hit with a weapon. A robber tried to detain another occupant, who fled. The apart- ment was ransacked. IRIS ST., 1500 block, 10 a.m. July 4. A dough- nut compressor, a pressure washer and a moun- tain bike were stolen. IRVING ST., 600 block, 2:30 a.m. July 2 to 8 a.m. July 3. The side door of a vacant condomin- ium was forced open, and property was taken. MST., 2400 block, 6:30 to 7 a.m. July 7. A male intruder, who was seen carrying a back- pack on the fourth floor of an office building, fled after being confronted. Property was stolen. MONROE ST., 1400 block, 3:30 a.m. July 4. A man entered a residence, went to a bedroom and confronted a resident. After being told to leave, he returned with a stun gun. The resident kicked the gun from the intruder’s hand, and he left. The intruder returned with a knife, and a struggle ensued. The intruder left again. NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 3900 block, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 4. Property was stolen from a resi- dence. PARK RD., 1800 block, 8:47 to 9:10 p.m. July 5. A witness saw three men enter a residence through a first-floor window. The intruders moved to the second floor. The witness called police, who arrived and saw the intruders jump from a broken second-story window onto bush-
