If You or Someone You Know Has Cancer, Do You Know Why?

Healing From Cancer, It’s Not About “The Fight”

by Dr. Charles Schwengel

Editor’s Note: This is the third in a series of planned educational ar- ticles about holistic views of cancer and cancer treatment. The author’s content and conclusions have been adapted from the published works of Dr. Med. R. G. Hamer, a German oncologist who began researching the natural causes of cancer in 1981. Dr. Hamer’s research continues and up-to-date information and current publications are available at LearningGNM.com.

I

f you or someone you know has cancer, do you know why? Almost all chronic diseases including cancer are usually caused by biologic forces of nature.

Modern cancer treatments ap-

proach cancer as if it were an in- vading enemy to be fought against, vanquished and conquered. Over the last 30 years, hundreds of billions of dollars and enormous amounts of medical and scientific research have gone into finding more and more ways to “fight” cancer. What if there was a different

way of looking at cancer? A way that considers the possibility that has a natural cause, that there is a natural purpose behind the development of tumors, and that maybe we shouldn’t be “fighting” cancer in the first place?

STRESS AND THE RETICULAR ACTIVATING SYSTEM

Deep-down in the brain, in an area called the brainstem, there are several

very highly sensitive nerve centers that serve to alert us to something in the environment that needs our attention. These nerve centers reach into

every part of the brain and into the conscious and subconscious mind. They’re called the “reticular activating system,” or RAS. The RAS is on the job 24/7 to alert us to things that are:

• Familiar or connected to us in some way

• Unusual, abnormal, shock- ing or strange • Dangerou s, threatening, or problematic

Most of us operate on “auto-pilot” when we are doing repetitive tasks that we are familiar with on a regu- lar basis. Our minds slip into what is called alpha-mode, which allows us to perform routine tasks such as water- ing the yard or driving to work without really paying much attention to what we are doing.

When something suddenly or unexpectedly happens, such as a dog barking or a siren approaching, RAS becomes aware of it first and instantly sends chemical signals to our brain. These signals snap us out of alpha mode into beta-alert mode – imme- diately. This is a completely natural response that helps us evaluate a po- tential threat and prepare to deal with it quickly.

BIOLOGIC CONFLICT

Dealing with various forms of stress on a daily basis is a part of life. When

something happens that represents a severe stress or trauma, or perhaps even a threat to our safety or survival, RAS instantly alerts the brain on a deeper level so that we are better pre- pared to respond to the emergency. The brain causes the body to

go immediately into “EMERGENCY MODE”. Once this response has been established, it is called “Bio- logic Conflict”.

Biological Conflict is a type of

stress that affects the mind, brain, and the body all at the same time. Biological Conflict remains active until we are able to find resolution to the conflict. We are then said to be in Conflict Phase.

CONFLICT PHASE

It is during Conflict Phase that the body responds with actual physical changes to help increase its ability to find a resolution to the conflict. This includes growing of extra tissue in af- fected organs. This new tissue growth, or neo- plasia becomes the tumors that are diagnosed as “cancer”.

Looking at this in a different way leads to the realization that the growth of tumors is under the direct control of the brain. Tumors are a completely natural response that is designed to help protect us and keep us alive dur- ing times of extreme stress. Symptoms during the conflict

phase are few. Tumors will grow but rarely create fevers, pain, or discharge. Tumors are commonly found only be- cause we’re looking for them such as Page 1  |  Page 2  |  Page 3  |  Page 4  |  Page 5  |  Page 6  |  Page 7  |  Page 8  |  Page 9  |  Page 10  |  Page 11  |  Page 12  |  Page 13  |  Page 14  |  Page 15  |  Page 16  |  Page 17  |  Page 18  |  Page 19  |  Page 20  |  Page 21  |  Page 22  |  Page 23  |  Page 24  |  Page 25  |  Page 26  |  Page 27  |  Page 28  |  Page 29  |  Page 30  |  Page 31  |  Page 32  |  Page 33  |  Page 34  |  Page 35  |  Page 36  |  Page 37  |  Page 38  |  Page 39  |  Page 40  |  Page 41  |  Page 42  |  Page 43  |  Page 44  |  Page 45  |  Page 46  |  Page 47  |  Page 48
