Wiley takes on APS titles
Wiley-Blackwell has formed a publishing partnership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Wiley- Blackwell will publish the three APS flagship
journals, Australian Journal of Psychology, Australian Psychologist and Clinical
Psychologist, from 2011. Wiley-Blackwell and the APS plan to focus on driving the profile, impact and professional relevance of each of the
journals, with a strong emphasis on differentiation and individual journal
development. Clinical Psychologist and Australian
Psychologist will be repositioned to deliver high-quality, practitioner- friendly content. The focus
for Australian Journal of
Psychology will continue to be on growing the journal’s impact and international reach, say the partners.

IngentaConnect includes Shibboleth 2 compliance
Publishing Technology has announced the latest release of its IngentaConnect collection of e-publications. This release of
Ingentaconnect includes Shibboleth 2 integration, in anticipation of the forthcoming industry-compliant deadline of 30 June. Compliance with Shibboleth 2, a standards-based, open-source software package for user authentication, is the latest in several advances made to ensure the platform remains future-proof for its publishers and its users, says the company. IngentaConnect’s
compliance with the latest Shibboleth standard is enabled via OpenAthens SP, which also supports authentication for prior versions of Shibboleth to ensure continued access for those who have not yet applied for the newest standard and also other new technologies as they develop.
In addition to Shibboleth 2, the new release includes open- access support and integration with RightsConnect from the Copyright Clearance Center. The platform also offers a ‘More about this publication? / More like this’ feature.
