The clean uncluttered lines of this table have both a Shaker and a Federal
influence. The tapered legs and the dovetailed drawer are representative of both
designs. This is an easy project that only requires a limited amount of material
and produces a very elegant table when finished.

PENNSYLVANIA SPICE BOX
Highly figured wood and hand-cut joinery make this chest a
showpiece of craftsmanship. Spice boxes have a heritage that goes
back several centuries. These small chests originally may have been
used for storing rare spices, but they were usually filled with
valuables such as jewelry and documents.

SHAKER SEWING STAND
Shaker sewing stands have a special charm that fits in
almost all decors. The dovetailed drawer opens from both
ends of the table and the legs have a sliding dovetail to
support them in the base. Our step by step instruction
walks you through the difficult part of cutting the dovetails
to assure a perfect piece when completed.

SHAKER CHEST OF DRAWERS
This tall chest of drawers was strongly influenced by the
Shaker style of furniture. The design originates from a similar
piece made in the 1830's. This is a tall piece which will
dominate the setting that you choose to place it in. It is made
of Imbuya which is a departure from the traditional cherry of
the Shaker furniture and has walnut burl insets in the doors.

2-PIECE TAPERED PLUG CUTTER

This two-piece set will out perform all others. They will
create a perfect fit between plugs and holes, making glue
lines almost invisible. Cutters also chamfer the ends of
