2008 Michael “Kai” Mayeda returned to academia this fall as a
Solar Hydrogen IGERT Graduate Fellow at the University of Delaware.
It is an interdisciplinary organization aimed at researching and pro-
moting hydrogen generation from solar power. Fellows are linked
to projects ranging from generation, storage, use in fuel cells and
transportation of hydrogen. They also research energy policies that
may promote solar hydrogen methods. Michael’s project looks at the
generation side.
