We will transfer our flower to the Bristol board using the a problem if you where working on a large complex project.
same technique as in lesson #5. You could if you want first Attach your Frisket film to the Bristol board and work all
apply your Frisket film to the Bristol board and transfer the the air bubbles out; I use a plastic squeegee for this. At this
flower design onto the Frisket film. You’ll find the pencil out point you can go thru and cut the flower design out with your
line will smear every easily on the Frisket film which can be hobby knife using a new blade of course.
Attach your Bristol board to your easel and pull off the Frisket film from the small-
est pedal, the pedal that will be furthest back on the flower.
Now placing your pedal free hand shield about in the center of the pedal as pic-
tured airbrush a very LIGHT coat of violet which will act as a shadow area on the
pedal. Violet or dark blue you will find generally works very well for shadow areas
and will be the colors you use most often to accomplish this. Black on the other
hand is a horrible color to use as it’s far to strong a color and will often times look
muddy when you layer colors over the black, The violet on the other hand is a color
you would mix with yellow (a tiny bit) to get a darker value of that yellow.
Now pull all the Frisket off all the small pedals and add your violet just as you did
in the step above. Notice on the left side of the flower I continued to render the
shadow area on the bottom half of the pedal.
