This page contains a Flash digital edition of a book.
After laying the graphics we back-tape the bot-
tom to get the parts ready for the first graphic
color. Once all parts are back-taped, we check
each part to make sure nothing is exposed
to avoid blowouts (small mis tapes that allow
overspray to slip through). We then spray an
edge fade over the entire top section of the
parts to get it ready for airbrush.
Here are a few parts of the bike after the
fade is added for airbrush graphics. In the
second part of this how-to we will pick-up
the airbrushing section with pinstripe,
clear and assembly.
Pictured to the right is the finished bike,
more detail pictures to come in part two
of this article in the next issue of Airbrush
Technique.
