The June data from Land Registry shows a monthly house price
movement of 0.1 per cent, which is the first positive figure in well over a

year. The annual movement now stands at -14 per cent, which signals a

flattening in house price change, although values are continuing to fall.

The average property value in England and Wales is now £153,046.
Sales volumes have continued to decline, from an average of 59,948
